Humanity is the start of the race

Was there ever a word that should not be
t’would be that dreadful word humanity
for all the evil done in its vain name
by all the lusting despots in this world
for their own gain, tis a shame,
a whopping, unrestrained vanity,
for there is no humane in humanity.

But human we are and will remain
unless some scientist-biologist
can realign, tame, restrain the brain
actually it would take an oncologist’s work
before the do-gooder cancer was slain.
I fear the future holds an alien archaeologist
shaking his head over humanity’s unsuccessful reign.
